This privacy policy applies to the Heart Rate & Health Tracker app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by BAO Apps (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
- Device type and model
- App usage statistics and analytics
- Crash reports and error logs
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Health Data (Stored Locally)
The Application collects health-related information that is stored locally on your device only:
- Heart Rate Measurements: Captured through your device's camera using photoplethysmography
- HRV (Heart Rate Variability): Calculated from heart rate measurements (Premium feature)
- Stress Levels: Derived from HRV analysis (Premium feature)
- Blood Pressure: Manually entered by users (Premium feature)
- Blood Sugar: Manually entered by users (Premium feature)
- Blood Oxygen: Manually entered by users (Premium feature)
Important: All health measurements are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. The Service Provider does not upload your health data to external servers. Your health information remains private and under your control.
Apple Health Integration
If you choose to enable Apple Health integration:
- The Application can read health data from your Health app (with your permission)
- The Application can write health data to your Health app (with your permission)
- All Apple Health data syncing is performed locally on your device
- The Service Provider does not have access to your Apple Health data
- You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings
How We Use Your Information
The Service Provider may use the information collected to:
- Provide and maintain the Application
- Process and display your health measurements
- Improve app functionality and user experience
- Analyze app usage to fix bugs and optimize performance
- Contact you from time to time to provide important information, required notices, and marketing promotions
- Manage your subscription and premium features
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
Important Note: These third-party services receive only anonymized analytics and usage data. They do not have access to your health measurements (heart rate, HRV, stress, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood oxygen), which remain stored locally on your device.
Disclosure of Information
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process
- When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
- With their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Additionally, you can:
- Delete Health Data: Delete individual measurements or all health data directly within the Application
- Disable Apple Health: Revoke Apple Health permissions in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices
- Opt Out of Analytics: Disable analytics in iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements
- Manage Subscriptions: Cancel or manage subscriptions in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain different types of data for varying periods:
- Health Data: Stored locally on your device indefinitely until you delete it or uninstall the Application. Not stored on our servers.
- Account Data: Retained for as long as you use the Application and for up to 90 days after account deletion or app uninstallation.
- Analytics Data: Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 2 years for service improvement purposes.
- Subscription Data: Transaction records retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting requirements.
- Support Communications: Customer support emails and communications retained for up to 3 years.
We may retain certain data for longer periods if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention, security, and compliance). Once data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.
If you'd like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at support@bao-apps.com and they will respond within 30 days.
Health Data: All health measurements are stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time using the Application's delete features. When you uninstall the Application, all locally stored health data is removed from your device.
Your Rights
You have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA.
General User Rights
- Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge a small fee for this service.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.

Children
The Heart Rate & Health Tracker app has an age restriction as it is not intended for users under the age of 16.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 16. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 16. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 years of age.
In the case the Service Provider discovers that a child under 16 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at support@bao-apps.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Specific security measures include:
- Health data is encrypted on your device using iOS security features
- Apple Health data is protected by Apple's security infrastructure
- Secure communication protocols (HTTPS/TLS) for any data transmission
- Access controls and authentication for premium features
- Regular security updates and patches

Important: This Application is not a medical device and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions. The measurements provided are for informational and wellness purposes only.

International Users
Our services are provided from the United States. If you are accessing our Application from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
Changes will be communicated through:
- Updating this page with the new Privacy Policy
- Updating the "Effective as of" date at the top
- In-app notifications for significant changes

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
